Snellville, GA 30078 (770) 377-1980 Reviews By dnhjohn from Snellville, GA, GA Posted Jul 22, 2010 Terrell is a great teacher but I would not recommend him. His wife is very rude and verbally abusive. She was so mean to my children that it simply doesn't make up for how good he is. What a shame. And if Terrell would have been professional enough to tell his wife she was acting inappropriately, we could have kept working with him. Accused us of not paying him even though we have a copy of the check. Just a really bad experience. And took the frustration out on children. What kind of person does that??? By Shane Shepherd from Loganville, GA Posted May 22, 2009 Mr. Phillips is an excellent guitar instructor and has many years of experience. He teaches fingerstyle and is very patient with any age student. He is willing to take all the time you need to learn and you can call him or email and he is just a moment away. I highly recommend his as an instructor for both young and old students. Lastly his fees are very reasonable the best around and he provides you with a lot of material for instruction. Thanks Shane Shepherd By Raleigh C. from Snellville, GA Posted Apr 12, 2009 In looking for a guitar instructor I was looking for someone who would take the time to teach an older student acoustic guitar. Being and older student and having no formal music training I was looking for someone who wouldn’t try to dictate their own music preferences over what I wanted to learn. I have found that someone in Terrell Phillips. Terrell’s teaching style is exactly what I was looking for. That is, someone who is more of a guidance counselor and friend rather than a harsh disciplinarian. Even though he has vast knowledge of playing various styles of guitar music he gives me challenging assignments that I enjoy. When I go to Terrell’s studio I have fun, which makes me want to learn more. Raleigh Chastine By Chris Montroy from Snellville, GA Posted Apr 11, 2009 My oldest son has been taking lessons from Terrell Phillips for approximately three years now. We had previously taken lessons from Ken Stanton music in Snellville. Terrell Phillips is one of the most gifted and patient music teachers I've ever encountered. My son thoroughly enjoys playing the guitar and can now play many songs and a variety of styles. I've enjoyed watching my oldest son take lessons from Terrell that I now take lessons with him with my youngest son. My sons and I plan on continuing taking lessons with Terrell for the years to come. I cannot think of a more patient and knowledgeable teacher than Terrell. I highly recommend him.
