Tinari Joe School of Guitar
New Haven, CT Reviews By John M. Anastasio from Branford, CT Posted May 17, 2018 I am now a 66 year old man still living in Connecticut and have to take a moment after all these years to reflect and thank Joe Tinari for the impact he has had on my life. I was 6 years of age and Joe was 17 when we first met and I had the privilege of taking private lesssons with Joe for the next 8 years, every week Joe would either come to my home and sit in my kitchen as my mother cooked or I would visit him at various studio locations and even at that age I knew that Joe had that unbelievable gift and talent that would make him one of the very best. I can still see your green Gretsch guitar now and that you would sometimes let me play. I feel truly blessed to have had Joe in my life for numerous reasons. First Joe has always and will be the ultimate maestro of all forms of the guitar. His lifelong dedication to the guitar will never be challenged. At first, like all small children, I could not immediately appreciate the joy of mastering an instrument, but as I grew, Joe taught me the joy of mastering the instrument and I can say without hesitation that it has brought years of joy to me. Also, Joe's demeanor of patience, kindness, and warm heartedness is also something that I cherished and kept throughout my life. Thank you Joe as the years have taken us in different directions but know that you have left an indelible and everlasting impression on me as the magnificent musician that you are and the great man that you are. My best always to you and your family By Fred Ferrara from Palm Beach Gardens, FL Posted Dec 8, 2013 At the age of 8 I started my Guitar lessons with Joe. My family all play various instruments with my uncle who was a great guitarist told my parents to bring me to Joe Tinari. Years later in college taking a music elective I played and the first question the professor asked was if I was from the New haven area. After telling him yes; he asked if my instructor was Joe Tinari. I certainly wasn't anything exceptional of a player; maybe a bit more than beginer. I was told my style, technique, and discipline I showed was unique and showed I learned from someone great they've seen before. Now years later I just picked up my guitar and back playing; now 46 years old. I found much joy playing guitar and it all started with what Joe taught me. Whenever I'm back in CT I try to see if Joe is playing any area gigs to get a chance to hear his talent and brilliance he brings to the art to so many people.
