I began taking drum lessons when I was in fourth grade. By the time I was in high school, I was playing the drums professionally. My teaching career began a few years later, and I have been performing and teaching ever since.
The curriculum I teach is based on developing technique and coordination, enhancing musicianship by learning and appreciating the history of music, and examining the drummer's role in music, both from a listening and performing perspective. All of my students learn how to read and transcribe music as we explore several musical styles. I customize each lesson to help you set and achieve realistic goals while having fun and being creative in the process.
I am now teaching private drum lessons at my studio in Denver near Cherry Creek and Glendale. My studio is outfitted with two drumsets, a vast library of learning resources, and recording equipment. I teach full time and have plenty of weekend time slots available.
